What is Natural Marble?
Marble is a limestone rock composed of very pure calcite (a crystalline form of calcium carbonate).
Natural marble is formed in the form of crystalline stones resulting from a group of natural factors that occur in the inner layers of the earth, which contribute to the formation of marble stone of various colors, shapes, and degrees of hardness.
Marble is considered one of the most important natural stones used in the interior decoration of homes. It is also considered one of the types of metamorphic limestone rocks that have changed chemically over time due to heat and intense pressure. Marble begins its life as limestone, a soft stone made mainly of calcite. Under heat and pressure from the heat of magma or the pressure of tectonic plates, this limestone begins to recrystallize, changing the texture of the rock and causing calcite crystals to grow and bond together.
What are the advantages of natural marble?
- Marble is characterized by the multiplicity and intermingling of colors
- It is characterized by the presence of veins in it

- It is distinguished by its bright shine
- Marble maintains its new look throughout its life
- Some types of marble are characterized by transparency
- Marble is resistant to heat, humidity and wind
- Marble is not affected by erosion and climate factors
- Marble is easy to clean and polish
- Marble is difficult to scratch
- Marble cannot be broken easily
What is granite?
It is an underground igneous rock that forms under high temperatures. Granite is mainly composed of three minerals: quartz, alkali aluminum silicate, and orthoclase. These minerals are made white, crimson, or light grey.
It consists of large grains of minerals tightly bonded together in what is called an avanite texture. This means that these grains are large enough to distinguish them with the naked eye. Secondly, granite is always composed of the minerals feldspar and quartz, in addition to many types of other minerals.
Most granite can withstand the elements of erosion for centuries. It is a solid rock with strong durability and easy melting of its rocky material. It is useful in constructing granite in polishing it until it becomes smooth, which makes it suitable for constructing columns, tombstones, and monuments that are intended to be long-lasting buildings.
